The Challenge

Lexicon wanted to deploy applications on EKS with high security and strong monitoring.

Key Architecture Components

1. EKS Control Plane 

Runs Kubernetes apps on EC2 with AWS features. Integrated with IAM, VPC, and ALB for security and networking. 

2. Worker Nodes (EC2) 

Two t3.medium EC2 nodes were deployed in public subnets. They handled application workloads and scaled when needed. 

3. Application Load Balancer (ALB) 

Distributed incoming traffic across pods. Integrated with Kubernetes Ingress for traffic management. 

4. Amazon Route 53 

Managed DNS and routed user requests to the Application Load Balancer.
