Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Cloud Security Specialist to design, implement, and manage secure cloud environments on AWS and Azure. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cloud security frameworks, tools, and practices, ensuring the security of cloud infrastructure, applications, and data.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Cloud Security Architecture:
Design and implement secure architectures for AWS and Azure environments.
Conduct threat modeling and risk assessments for cloud-native and hybrid solutions.
2. Security Operations:
Monitor, detect, and respond to security incidents in AWS and Azure environments.
Implement and maintain security controls, including firewalls, encryption, and identity and access management (IAM) policies.
3. Compliance and Governance:
Ensure compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, PCI DSS, and GDPR.
Develop and enforce cloud security policies and guidelines.
4. Automation and Tools:
Deploy automated security solutions using tools like AWS Config, Azure Security Center, and third-party tools.
Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts with embedded security controls.
5. Collaboration:
Work with development, operations, and IT teams to embed security in the DevOps lifecycle.
Educate and train internal teams on cloud security best practices.
6. Incident Response:
Lead investigations and remediation efforts during security breaches or incidents.
Implement post-incident reviews and improvements.
7. Innovation and Research:
Stay updated on the latest cloud security threats, vulnerabilities, and best practices.
Evaluate and integrate emerging security technologies into existing environments.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
Minimum 5 years of experience in cloud security for AWS and Azure.
Proven expertise in securing cloud infrastructures, including VPC, VNets, IAM, and security groups.
Skills:
Hands-on experience with tools like AWS Shield, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Azure Defender, and Sentinel.
Proficiency in scripting (Python, PowerShell, or Bash) for automation and security monitoring.
Deep understanding of network security, encryption standards, and key management.
Certifications:
Good to Have — Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified Security – Specialty, Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate, or CISSP.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Familiarity with multi-cloud environments and tools.
Knowledge of Zero Trust Architecture principles.
Experience with CI/CD security tools and DevSecOps practices.
