Objectives of this role 

1. Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure.
2.  Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers. 
3. Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes. 
4. Testing and examining code written by others and analysing results.
5. Ensuring that systems are safe and secure against Cyber security threats. 
6.  Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes. 
7.  Working with software developers and software engineers to optimize that development workflow.
8. Follows established processes and works as intended. 
9. Planning projects and being involved in project management decisions.
10. The primary focus of this role is to independently handle end-to-end deployment processes using Git and ArgoCD.

Responsibilities 

1. Architect and develop robust Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
2. Implement automation for building, testing, and deploying applications.
3. Use tools like Terraform, Ansible or CloudFormation to define and manage infrastructure as code
4. Implement and manage automated deployment strategies to ensure a seamless and reliable release process
5. Implement monitoring solutions to track system performance, application health, and infrastructure metrics.
6. Collaborate closely with development teams to understand application requirements and optimize deployment processe via Orchestration methodology such as Kubernetes.
7. Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated testing, build, and deployment processes. 

Required skills and qualifications 

1. Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role 2. 
2. 5+ years of experience in DevOps or on SRE level specialization.
3. Good knowledge Scripting (Bash, Python/PowerShell).
4. Working knowledge of databases and SQL such as PostgreSQL, MySQL etc.
5.  Design, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines for efficient and automated software delivery.  
6. Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc. along with advance deployment skills on Kubernetes. 
7. Experience in handling Micro-services architecture deployment with problem solving approach.
8. Knowledge of monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
9. Able to design, implement, and maintain infrastructure as code using Terraform to support scalable and reliable systems.
10. Implement and maintain Terraform modules and configurations for cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure.
11. Proven experience in Git and ArgoCD or similar role, with proven 4 years of relevant experience.
12. Able to take full ownership of the deployment process, ensuring a smooth and efficient transition from development to production.

Preferred skills and qualifications 

·         Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field.
