Job Description:

• We are looking for a skilled Server Storage Administrator to join our IT team. The ideal
  candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing our server and storage infrastructure to
  ensure efficient data storage, retrieval, and protection. You will play a crucial role in maintaining high
  availability and performance of our systems.

Key Responsibilities:

Server Administration:

• Install, configure, and maintain physical and virtual servers (Windows Server, Ubuntu).
• Manage and monitor server performance, ensuring high availability and reliability.
• Implement backup, recovery and disaster recovery plans.
• Patch management and regular updates for server software and firmware.
• Hardware and software troubleshooting for server issues.
• AWS L1 level

Backup Management:

• Design, implement, and manage enterprise backup solutions (e.g., Veeam, Veritas,
  CommVault, NetBackup).
• Monitor daily backup processes, ensuring successful completion and timely resolution of any
  failures.
• Perform periodic restore tests to ensure data recoverability.
• Develop and manage backup schedules, policies, and procedures.

Storage Management:

• Maintain and optimize SAN (Storage Area Network), NAS (Network Attached Storage), and
  other storage systems (e.g., Dell EMC, NetApp, HPE, IBM).
• Provision storage as required for new projects and applications.
• Ensure high availability and performance of storage environments.
• Perform capacity planning and ensure storage utilization is within acceptable thresholds.

Disaster Recovery:

• Collaborate with the IT team to develop and maintain disaster recovery strategies.
• Participate in disaster recovery tests and ensure timely recovery of critical data and systems.
  Monitoring and Reporting:
• Monitor and analyze system performance, making recommendations for improving
  efficiency.
• Maintain storage usage and backup performance reports, providing insights for
  management.
• Generate regular status reports on backup completion and storage health.
  Security and Compliance:
•  Implement and maintain backup and storage encryption mechanisms.
• Ensure compliance with data protection regulations and organizational data retention
  policies.
• Work with security teams to ensure the backup and storage infrastructure is protected fromunauthorized access.

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Apply patches, firmware upgrades, and perform maintenance on storage and backup
  systems.
• Troubleshoot backup and storage issues to ensure minimal downtime and disruption.
  Collaboration:
• Work closely with system administrators, database administrators, and network teams to
• ensure seamless integration of storage solutions.
• Assist in the design of data management strategies in line with company goals and
  objectives.

Preferred Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in backup and storage management roles.
• Proven experience in a large-scale IT infrastructure environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with automation scripts for storage and backup tasks (e.g., PowerShell, Bash).

Soft Skills:

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
