How Telglobal’s Managed Services Team helped streamline operations and cut costs for an NBFC client.

The Client

A leading Non Banking Finance Company (NBFC) specializing in providing business loans for companies across India. The company has built a robust reputation as a tech-driven lending company specializing in providing unsecured loans to smaller businesses located in most of India’s metro cities, such as Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chandigarh, Jaipur, Kolkata and Ahmedabad. The client uses technologies that combine new payment datasets, traditional scoring, dynamic repayment and automated collections to identify creditworthy businesses. The loans are mostly repaid through future card receivables, e-commerce sales, etc. Almost 50% of the loans are below INR one million each and more than three quarters of all loans are provided to proprietorship and partnership companies.

The Need:

The client runs its TPA production workloads in two discrete environments, comprising a) its on-premises infrastructure, which consists of a combination of Linux and Windows environments, and b) AWS cloud.

They needed to access and manage their infrastructure landscape with respect to application efficiency, scalability, maintenance, and cost. And enable on-demand scaling without need for manual efforts.

The Solution:

Managed Services offering covering the following

Deployments, rollbacks and database replications of apps

Continuous cost optimization on the basis of cost optimization reports

Optimizing their hybrid model by connecting AWS to on-premises infrastructure using site-to-site Virtual Private Network (VPN)

Regular backups using AWS lifecycle manager and AWS Backup to take Amazon Management of RDS instances, including provision of Multi AZ options and data dumps to ensure no data loss

Machine Images (AMI) and Snapshots with a retention period of 15 days and seven days, respectively
